About Arthur Goldman

The Law Office of Arthur D. Goldman is dedicated to helping both businesses and individuals address their business-related needs, through transactional assistance and legal counseling as well as through litigation. With a focus on employment law, commercial litigation and transactions, and real estate and contract law, Mr. Goldman strives to provide the quality and sophistication of a large law firm with the rates and accessibility of a small firm. In addition, Mr. Goldman’s office has an extensive network of relationships with other small law offices with similarly sophisticated business practices which allows him to meet his clients’ transactional and litigation needs and to bring in additional attorneys with similar or different specialties to service his clients’ legal matters.

Mr. Goldman more than twenty-five (25) years of diverse legal experience, most recently in labor and employment law, civil rights, and complex commercial, and construction litigation and business and real estate law. He founded his own practice in 2000, and as one of the leading practitioners in the region in employment law, is Co-Chairman of the Chester County Bar Association’s Employment Law Committee. Employment law experience encompasses a broad spectrum of subjects, ranging from simple unemployment and corporate counseling matters to complex discrimination and retaliation actions (age, gender, race, disability, religion, etc.), wrongful termination, sexual harassment, executive compensation, theft of trade secrets, non-compete agreements, partnership agreements and litigation, corporate policy formulation, officer and director liability, and ERISA law, to name a few. Mr. Goldman actively counsels businesses and individuals on employment matters, including contracts, policies, compensation and severance issues.

Mr. Goldman has substantial expertise in all aspects of business litigation, including breach of contract actions, licensing agreements, international supply contracts and other complex business disputes. Mr. Goldman also has experience in real estate law (including zoning and land use), landlord-tenant disputes and leases (both commercial and residential), environmental law, including environmental regulatory affairs and litigation (including insurance coverage), commercial law, copyright and trademark law (including internet, photographic and image protection), and education law.

With both major law firm and in-house experience, Mr. Goldman has been admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Pennsylvania and United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. In addition, he has substantial knowledge of and experience in New Jersey practice, including the successful completion of a Federal jury trial in the District of New Jersey. Mr. Goldman has also appeared in legal matters in Delaware, Maryland, California, Texas, Missouri, Illinois, Massachusetts, and Nevada and has overseas clients in Japan, China, Korea and the United Kingdom.

Mr. Goldman’s clients include small and medium-sized businesses and individuals, as well as several non-profit corporations, but he has worked with Fortune 500 companies as both outside counsel and in-house. Mr. Goldman’s unique experience of working in large law firms, small law firms, and corporations as well as representing both defendants and plaintiffs provides him with an inside perspective of the client’s concerns and needs which he translates into his commitment to efficiency and high quality. Mr. Goldman is dedicated to providing superior services to the client’s needs, with the sophistication and experience of a large firm attorney with the accessibility of a small firm. He is strongly committed to a proactive approach in the practice of law, that it is better and more cost-effective to prevent a problem from arising rather than to litigate one that could have been prevented.

Mr. Goldman’s work experience also includes successful jury and bench trials in federal and state courts, successful appellate work before the Pennsylvania Commonwealth, Superior and Supreme Courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and corporate and real estate transactions of all sizes, including acquisitions and dissolutions.
